: Hanoi – City tour
|

Full-day city tour: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and whole October-November) and Residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Army Museum.
Visit Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, Fine Art Museum and Quan Thanh Temple.
Evening: Water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art.

Day3
: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau
|
Breakfast.
|
Drive to Mai Chau via Hoa Binh town (150 km), through picturesque scenery with beautiful views of the mountains along the way. Visit Mai Chau, a pretty valley with a patch-work quilt of rice paddies, farms and houses-on-stilts. This area is home of many hilltribes including Muong and Thai ethnic minorities.
Drive back to Hanoi.

Day4
: Hanoi – Halong
|
Breakfast.
|
Drive to Ha Long (180 km) via Hai Phong. Short sight seeing in Hai Phong including visit to Du Hang Pagoda and Hang Kenh temple. Continue road to Halong.
Arrive in Halong, transfer to the hotel.

Day5
: Halong Bay – Hanoi
|
Breakfast.
|
Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty. The picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 5-hour boat trip will visit one grotto, then continue to explore more of these wonders of creation.
Seafood lunch on board.
Drive back to Hanoi and transfer to the hotel.

Day6
: Hanoi – Hue
|
Breakfast.
|
Transfer to airport for flight to Hue, the royal city of Vietnam’s last ruling dynasty. Meet and transfer to visit the Imperial Citadel, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh’s Tombs.
Boat trip on Perfume river to visit Thien Mu Pagoda then drive to visit Minh Mang Tomb.

Day7
: Hue - Danang – Hoi An
|
Breakfast.
|
Depart Hue for Danang across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea.
Visit Cham Museum, Marble mountain, China Beach then proceed for Hoi An and transfer to the hotel.

: Hoi An

Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences.

Day9
: Hoi An - Danang – Nha Trang
|
Breakfast.
|
Drive to Danang and transfer to airport for flight to Nha Trang. Visit the Institute of Oceanography and Po Nagar Cham Tower, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 2nd century AD. The town was built between the 7th and 12th centuries and is still used today as a place of pilgrimage for the Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists.
Transfer to the hotel.

Day10
: Nha Trang – Dalat
|
Breakfast.
|
Depart Nha Trang for Dalat, a cool mountain resort. It's lakes, waterfall, evergreen forest and gardens make Dalat one of the most enjoyable places in Vietnam. On the way, visit Long Son Pagoda and Po Klong Garai Cham Tower.
Arrive in Dalat and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Lover’s lane, Xuan Huong Lake, Flower Garden and Linh Son Pagoda.

: Dalat – Ho Chi Minh City

Depart Dalat for Ho Chi Minh City with stopover to visit Prenn waterfall.

City tour: History Museum, former Presidential Palace, Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral.

: Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh / Cu Chi Tunnels
|
Breakfast.
|
Pick up at hotel, excursion to Tay Ninh church, center of the Cao-Daism religion which combines Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism.
Lunch en route.
Visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war.
Alternative programme: Coach trip to My Tho (2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City) and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a prosperous town of 170,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an orchard on an island, with lunch en route. Continue with a visit to a snake farm and then drive back Ho Chi Minh City.
